A comedy of ideas that is as provocative as it is funny, as entertaining as it is insightful. Two friends embark on a quest for a lost buddy and find the most important of human pursuits: self-actualization. On their search they encounter a long forgotten bet, a wedding they must crash and a funeral that gets impossibly out of control. They also embark on an inner journey down memory lane -- remembering their friend, freethinking Rancho, who touched and changed their lives. Memories of Rancho include his romance, his clash with an oppressive mentor and his disappearance. Who was he? Where did he come from? Why did he leave? Where is their friend who inspired them to think creatively and independently when everyone else called them “three idiots?”
